Events Tab User Guide

How to View, Manage & Interact with Team Events

The Events tab is where you manage your full team schedule, RSVP to events, sync calendars, access location details and even do live scoring.

How to Access the Events Tab

  1. Open the mobile app.
  2. Tap “Events” in the bottom navigation menu or click on View All from within the dashboard.

You will now see your team’s scheduled practices, games, and other events.

Understanding the Events Screen

At the top of the screen, you’ll see view options and filter controls. Below that is your list or calendar of scheduled events. You can drill into each event to see:

  • Event Type (Practice, Tryout or Game)
  • Date
  • Time
  • Team Name
  • Opponent (for games)
  • Location
  • Score (when available)

Switching Between List View and Calendar View

You can view events in two formats.

To Switch Views:

  1. Locate the List / Calendar toggle near the top of the screen.
  2. Tap List View to see events in a vertical chronological list.
  3. Tap Calendar View to see events organized by date on a monthly calendar.

When to Use Each View:

  • List View – Best for scrolling through upcoming events quickly.
  • Calendar View – Best for visualizing your month at a glance.

Viewing Event Details

To see more information about an event:

  1. Tap on any Event in List or Calendar view.
  2. The event detail screen will open.

Inside the event, you can see:

  • Full date and time
  • Event type
  • Location details
  • Team and opponent (if applicable)
  • Availability status
  • Additional notes (if provided)
  • Game score

Marking Player Availability (RSVP)

You can indicate whether your player will attend.

To Mark Availability:

  1. Open the event.

    Locate the Availability section.

    Select:

    • Going
    • Not Going
    • (If available) Maybe
  2. Your response will update immediately.

This helps coaches plan attendance and lineups.

Syncing Events to Your Personal Calendar

You can sync the team schedule to your phone’s calendar.

To Enable Calendar Sync:

  1. Go to the Events tab.
  2. Tap “Enable Sync” (usually located near the top of the screen).
  3. Follow the prompts to allow calendar access.
  4. Confirm sync.

Once enabled:

  • Events will appear in your device’s default calendar.
  • Updates to the schedule will automatically reflect.

Opening Event Location in Maps

You can quickly navigate to a game or practice location.

To Open Maps:

  1. Open the event details.

    Tap on the Location name or address.

    Your device will open:

    • Apple Maps (iPhone), or
    • Google Maps (Android)
  2. Tap Directions to start navigation.

Navigating Events by Date (Calendar View)

When using Calendar View:

  • Tap a specific Date to see events scheduled for that day.
  • Swipe left or right to move between months.
  • Selected dates will display events below the calendar.

Navigating Events by Date (List View)

When using Event Date List View:

  • Tap a specific Event to see details.
  • Scroll up and down to view information.
  • In the list view you can:
    • Sync your calendar
    • View the event location on a map
    • Get directions
    • Mark player availability

Filtering Events

Users can filter what Events are shown using the filter tab next to the Upcoming Events heading.

  • Tap the Filter icon.
  • Choose which events you wish to see.
  • You can filter by Status and Season
    • Past Events
    • Upcoming Events
    • Seasons

Additional Event Features

Depending on permissions and team settings, you may also see:

  • Event notes from coaches
  • Uniform or equipment reminders
  • RSVP lists showing who is attending
  • Alerts for schedule changes

Best Practices for Parents & Players

  • Check the Events tab weekly for updates.
  • Mark availability as soon as possible.
  • Sync your calendar to avoid missing last-minute changes.
  • Open maps ahead of time to confirm field locations.
